Evening Adoration

It is the Catholic belief that during Mass, the bread and wine are converted into Christ's body, blood, soul and divinity whilst maintaining their same appearance via a process called transubstantiation. Click here for a detailed explanation with scriptural references. We can receive it as communion or we can perform Adoration where the bread (Eucharist) is displayed in a Monstrance. People can also perform Adoration by praying in front of the church tabernacle. The difference can be compared to talking to Christ when he is in front of you or talking to him when he is behind the door in the next room. For more information about Adoration, click here.
